Lot 3 at Seal Rocks by Castlepeake

The majority of materials used in this Northern NSW holiday house have been left with a ‘raw’ natural finish. The textured surface of the rammed earth walls compliments the natural bush surroundings, and provides plenty of interest to the internal rooms.

Food For Thought -The Ring House, Tokyo

TNA Architects have designed a country retreat outside of Tokyo that resembles a lantern in the forest. The well designed structure of the building enables seemingly uninterrupted ‘rings’ of glass around the entire building that allow extensive views out into the forest through the foliage of the trees.

Black stained cedar external cladding help to ‘dissolve’ the house into its’ surroundings, while the opposite – stark white walls line the internal space bringing the forest into the building.
