Resilience Award

Australian Insurance Institute of Australia.

The competition called for entries that would be durable and resilient to various 'Acts of God'. The brief called for a house design on a 1: 4 slope, that would stand up to two chosen acts of God.

The 3PLY submission looked to explore a house that would withstand a sustained hailstorm, as well as bushfire attack. The main principle being to design a contemporary house, that happens to be resilient to bushfire and hailstorms, with the intent being that following one of these events, minimal repair work would be required.
