Cook Street, Randwick.
Found within a heritage conservation area this terrace is part of a triumverate of three Victorian terraces. The site is narrow but is over 50m in length. The design looked to utilise this length by splitting the living areas and arranging them around a central, private courtyard.
Distinct zoning of the living spaces has a more intimate living room, with an open gabled, cathedral ceiling pavilion housing the kitchen and dining room, which has glazed sliding stacking doors overlooking the rear landscaped garden.
The central courtyard links these spaces and provides northern light and natural ventilation into the heart of the house.
