Ethel Street, Coogee.
A cute semi in a great location with good orientation, but was to small to accommodate the spatial needs of a young family with two boys.
The existing two bedroom house needed a bit of TLC as well as reconfiguration to allow for a third bedroom, as well as efficiently planned open plan living areas to make the most of the narrow site and north facing rear yard.
In-built storage/seating solutions allow the living areas to be used as the kids play area, but effortlessly turn into an adults entertaining space as required.
The rear walls and ceiling were insulated and reclad to better regulate internal temperatures year round. New bifold doors perfectly frame the picturesque garden and maple trees to the rear, while new skylights over the kitchen and living room, bring additional sunlight into the heart of the home.
Blackbutt flooring provides a backdrop full of character to the contemporary finishes of the kitchen. Stainless steel, white two pack polyurethane, have been designed in an efficient galley style arrangement, reminiscent of the working kitchen, the client - who is a head chef is used to.
